Get to know me

What sets me apart from other dog walkers is my commitment to your dogs as individuals. I strive to provide your dogs with the personal care and attention they get from you. By walking, playing and socialising them as you would.

If your dog loves to play with other dogs then I will walk him/her where we are sure to meet some friends to play with. If your dog can be aggressive towards other dogs then I will walk him/her somewhere that they can enjoy a quiet walk without the stress of having to deal with other dogs. If your dog is shy and needs the calming influence of a friend to steady his/her nerves then I will endeavour to find such a friend. If you are training your dog I will do my best to keep the consistency of that training so as not to undo your hard work. Making your dog’s walk as pleasurable as possible for him/her is my top priority.

I’m happy to offer a free introductory consultation with no obligation and no pressure to hire me. I want you and your dogs to be totally happy with me before you decide if I am right for you. In return, I will not accept a position if I am not confident that I am the right person for you and your dogs.

Having lived and worked with rescue dogs, I understand that some animals require more time to accept a stranger and if more than one visit is necessary for this acceptance there will be no charge for such visits until that trust is reached and your dog/s are able to happily leave your home with me. My experience includes work at an animal rescue centre, volunteer work with wolves, a two year college programme in animal care and part time work at Oakwood Park Boarding Kennels, Wokingham.

At my initial visit I will ask you to complete a very basic form stating your name, address and phone number as well as the same details for your vet. You will also be given a form to fill out about each of your dogs. This will ask questions about your dog’s health, temperament and any training you are doing with them that will help me to tailor my service to your dog’s needs whilst I am getting to know them. If you are able, I also ask that you allow time during my visit for us to go on your usual walk so I can see how your dogs are with you while they are out and where they like to go.

If your dogs are vaccinated and/or micro chipped, please have the relevant paperwork available at the initial consultation.
